Real Madrid showcased their football prowess at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, sweeping multiple top honors on Friday night in the United Arab Emirates. The Spanish giants’ players and coach were recognized for their outstanding performances during the 2023-24 season.
Vinicius Jr. stole the spotlight by clinching both the Best Men’s Player and Best Forward awards. The Brazilian forward edged out teammate Jude Bellingham and Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr to claim the night’s top individual accolades. Vinicius contributed an impressive 25 goals and 12 assists in 40 games, playing a pivotal role in helping Los Blancos secure titles in the Spanish La Liga, Supercopa de España, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup during the season.
“Firstly, I want to thank all of my teammates, my family, and Flamengo, who put me on the world stage,” said Vinicius during his acceptance speech. “I always thank them and my teammates, which is the most important thing of all, because without them, I would not be here.
