Sichuan Team Two Advances to Mixed Doubles Final in Chinese Curling League

Sichuan Team Two showcased a commanding performance to secure their spot in the mixed doubles final of the Chinese Curling League, defeating Inner Mongolia Team Four with a decisive 10-2 victory in Yichun, Heilongjiang province.

The match began with Sichuan taking an early lead with blue handles. Guo Jiaxin delivered a crucial stone that eliminated two of Inner Mongolia’s stones, positioning four of Sichuan’s stones within the House. Inner Mongolia’s Tian Linyuan responded by taking out two of Sichuan’s stones, attempting to close the gap. However, Sichuan’s Yu Feng countered effectively, reinstating his team’s advantage to lead 3-1 after the second end.

A pivotal moment unfolded in the third end when Tian missed the Button, accidentally pushing one of Sichuan’s stones closer to the center. This error allowed Sichuan to surge ahead with a 7-1 lead. Maintaining their momentum, Sichuan secured two additional points over the next two ends, while Inner Mongolia added a second point in the sixth end.

The match concluded with Yu Feng executing a clean finish, taking out a yellow-handled stone and sealing the victory for Sichuan Team Two. Their triumph propels them into the mixed doubles final, where they will compete for the championship title.
