In an electrifying Premier League showdown on Saturday, Liverpool was held to a 2-2 draw by a resilient Fulham side at Anfield. The match was filled with drama, including a sending off, spectacular goals, and a late equalizer that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The home side faced an uphill battle early on when defender Andy Robertson received a red card just six minutes after Fulham’s Andreas Pereira unleashed a stunning volley into the Liverpool net. Reduced to ten men, Liverpool had to dig deep to stay in the game.

Cody Gakpo reignited Liverpool’s hopes by leveling the score just two minutes into the second half, capitalizing on a moment of brilliance to bring the match back to parity. However, Fulham was undeterred and reclaimed the lead 14 minutes from time when Rodrigo Muniz found the back of the net, courtesy of Antonee Robinson’s second assist of the match.

As the clock ticked down, Diogo Jota marked his return from injury in style, netting Liverpool’s equalizer just four minutes from the final whistle. Set up by Darwin Nunez, Jota’s composed finish ensured the points were shared in this thrilling encounter.

The result sees Arne Slot’s side avoiding a second league defeat of the season, maintaining their competitive edge in the standings. They now have 36 points from 15 games, holding a five-point advantage over second-place Chelsea.
