Canada Dominates Day 2 of Short Track Speed Skating World Cup with Three Golds

Canada delivered a commanding performance on Day 2 of the Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Seoul, capturing three gold medals and two silvers across four events.

In the men’s 1,500-meter race, Canada’s world champion William Dandjinou showcased his skill by overtaking on the inside track and maintaining his lead to finish first in 2 minutes and 14.313 seconds.

Olympic champion Steven Dubois dominated the men’s 500-meter event, securing gold with a time of 41.681 seconds. His compatriot, Jordan Pierre-Gilles, followed closely to claim the silver medal.

The Canadian women’s team continued the nation’s success by winning the 3,000-meter relay in 4 minutes and 11.634 seconds.

In the women’s 1,000-meter race, South Korea’s Kim Gil-li crossed the finish line first in 1 minute and 30.884 seconds, ahead of Canada’s Danae Blais and three-time Olympic champion Choi Min-jeong.
