Ding Junhui Dominates Reanne Evans with 6-0 Victory at Nanjing Championship

At the World Snooker International Championship held in Nanjing, home favorite Ding Junhui delivered a commanding performance against England’s 12-time world champion Reanne Evans, securing a decisive 6-0 victory to advance to the last 64.

Evans, renowned for her incredible run of ten consecutive world titles from 2005 to 2014, showcased her skill early on with a brilliant long red. However, Ding quickly responded with a sharp combination shot and took the first frame with a break of 59. The world number nine overcame several challenges to claim the next two frames, establishing a strong 3-0 lead.

In the fourth frame, Evans, currently ranked third in the women’s world rankings, missed a routine red, providing Ding with an opportunity to capitalize. The 37-year-old Chinese star seized the moment, producing a run of 69 to extend his lead to 4-0. Maintaining his momentum, Ding continued his impressive form in the fifth frame, delivering a break of 71 to make it 5-0.

Ding, a 14-time ranking title winner, dominated the sixth and final frame with the only century break of the match. A remarkable run of 124 sealed his 6-0 victory, and he is set to face England’s Martin O’Donnell in the next round.

Earlier on Sunday, snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan overcame a spirited challenge from women’s world number one Mink Nutcharut. O’Sullivan started slowly, allowing Nutcharut to claim the first frame with a break of 84. The seven-time world champion bounced back in the second frame, posting a score of 124 to level the match.

The 48-year-old Englishman then found his rhythm, winning the next three frames to take a 4-1 lead. Nutcharut displayed remarkable resilience, pulling back two frames to trail 4-3. However, O’Sullivan secured the eighth frame and wrapped up the victory with an impressive break of 132. He will meet China’s He Guoqiang in the next round.
