Beijing Guoan Crush Changchun Yatai 8-1 in Historic Chinese Super League Victory

In a stunning display of offensive prowess, Beijing Guoan overwhelmed Changchun Yatai with an 8-1 victory on Saturday night during the 27th matchday of the Chinese Super League season.

Beijing Guoan’s forward Fabio Abreu led the onslaught with a remarkable hat-trick, showcasing his scoring abilities and propelling his team to a historic win. The match kicked off with Cao Yongjing opening the scoring in the 8th minute, executing a sliding strike that gave Beijing an early advantage. The momentum continued as Lin Liangming doubled the lead in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a close-range tap-in.

As the first half progressed, Abreu found the back of the net twice, boosting Guoan’s lead to an imposing 4-0. However, just before halftime, Changchun Yatai’s Robert Beric managed to pull one back in the 44th minute, giving his team a glimmer of hope.

The second half saw Beijing Guoan maintain their dominance. In the 51st minute, Abreu completed his hat-trick, further extending the lead. Substitutes made an immediate impact as Fang Hao, shortly after entering the pitch, scored an easy tap-in. Fellow substitute Wang Ziming contributed significantly by adding a brace, sealing Changchun Yatai’s fate with a crushing seven-goal deficit.

This victory marks Beijing Guoan’s largest margin of victory in a Chinese Super League match. Their eight goals not only set a new club record but also tied the CSL record for the most goals scored in a single game.

Elsewhere in the league, Shanghai Shenhua edged past Qingdao Hainiu with a 1-0 win, while Shanghai Port secured a 2-1 victory against Qingdao West Coast. Nantong Zhiyun triumphed over Zhejiang with a close 3-2 result, and Shandong Taishan defeated Shenzhen Peng City 4-1.
