World No. 3 Kyren Wilson of England staged a remarkable comeback to defeat compatriot Judd Trump 10-8 on Sunday, winning his seventh World Snooker ranking title at the Xi’an Grand Prix.
Wilson held a narrow 5-4 lead going into the night session against Trump. The match remained intensely competitive as Trump and Wilson traded wins in the 10th and 11th frames.
Demonstrating his resilience, Trump secured back-to-back frames to lead 7-6 ahead of the last intermission. However, Wilson’s impressive 76 break in the 14th frame brought the match level once again.
Trump reclaimed the lead at 8-7 after achieving his second century break of the tournament. But Wilson displayed outstanding offensive skills, winning the next three frames to clinch the title.
The victory at the Xi’an Grand Prix marks Wilson’s seventh World Snooker ranking title, underscoring his status as one of the sport’s leading figures.
