Chinese Swimmers Make History at Paris 2024 with Record Medal Haul

At the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, Chinese swimmers have made history by claiming a total of 12 medals, including two gold, three silver, and seven bronze. This remarkable achievement marks a new record for China in the sport at the Games.

Leading the triumph was Pan Zhanle, who stunned the world by winning the men’s 100-meter freestyle title with a new world record time of 46.4 seconds. His performance not only earned him a gold medal but also cemented his place among the fastest swimmers in Olympic history.

Pan didn’t stop there. He joined forces with Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, and Sun Jiajun in the men’s 4×100-meter medley relay. The team showcased exceptional teamwork and skill, dominating the final with a time of 3:27.76 and securing another gold medal for China.

In individual events, Tang Qianting delivered a stellar performance in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke, earning a silver medal. Xu Jiayu also shone in the men’s 100-meter backstroke, adding another silver to China’s tally.

The Chinese mixed relay team, comprising Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, Zhang Yufei, and Yang Junxuan, made waves in the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay final. They finished with a time of 3:37.55, breaking the Asian record and clinching a silver medal.

China’s swimmers have demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, setting new records and elevating the nation’s status in the global swimming community. Their historic performance in Paris not only brings pride to China but also inspires future generations of athletes.
