Parc des Nations Offers Mini-World’s Fair Experience for Olympic Fans in Paris

As the excitement of the Paris Olympics fills the air, a unique experience awaits fans without event tickets. The Parc de la Villette in northeast Paris has been transformed into the Parc des Nations, a vibrant hub hosting 15 festive national team clubhouses in a celebration akin to a mini-World’s Fair.

From savoring a spicy samosa in India House to dancing the night away with a DJ in Club France, the Parc des Nations offers a multicultural fan zone where visitors can immerse themselves in global cultures, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and perhaps even meet some Olympic athletes.

“The slogan of these Olympics is ‘Games Wide Open,’ and we wanted to bring that to life,” said Amelie Guignabert of Paris 2024, the Olympic organizing committee. “We really believe in it.”

Organizers are eager to welcome fans and have been promoting the Parc des Nations throughout the city. “All they need,” Guignabert noted, “will be the fans.”

The largest clubhouse is Club France, capable of hosting 5,000 to 6,000 people indoors and up to 20,000 in outdoor spaces, including expansive fields. Inside, visitors will find a large stage where medal-winning athletes will make appearances, and nightly music events featuring renowned DJs like Bob Sinclar.

“We like to party,” exclaimed Arnaud Courtier, executive director of Club France, highlighting the festive atmosphere awaiting fans.

Other national houses include Casa Brazil, Canada Team House, Casa Colombia, Czech House, India House, Casa Mexico, Team NL (Netherlands) House, Mongolia House, Serbian House, Slovak House, Slovenian House, and Ekhaya South Africa. Each offers a unique cultural experience, from traditional cuisines and beverages to music and entertainment.

Entry to the Parc des Nations is designed to be affordable and welcoming. Fans can pay five euros and stay as long as they like, enjoying Olympic competitions and athlete interviews broadcasted on giant screens, cheering for medal winners, and indulging in food and drinks from around the world.

For those seeking an elevated experience, packages are available, ranging up to 385 euros for an all-night open bar and prime stage access during performances and athlete appearances.

The Parc des Nations opens its doors following the grand Opening Ceremony on the River Seine, offering an inclusive space for fans to be part of the Olympic spirit. Whether you’re sipping a cool caipirinha at Casa Brazil or exploring the vibrant offerings of Casa Mexico, the Parc des Nations promises an unforgettable experience for all.
