2024 Olympic Medals Displayed at China Media Group’s Paris Studio

The anticipation for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris reached new heights as the Olympic medals were showcased at China Media Group’s (CMG) studio in Paris on Tuesday. This rare public display offered a closer look at the unique design elements that make each medal a singular piece of art.

Since their official unveiling in February, the medals have seldom been seen by the public. Through the strong relationship between CMG and the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), and CMG’s role as one of the main broadcasters for the 2024 Paris Summer Games, a set of these prestigious medals was delivered to the studio for this exclusive presentation.

A standout feature of the medals is the hexagon-shaped piece of iron at their center, sourced directly from the iconic Eiffel Tower. This innovative design was crafted by the renowned French jewelry house Chaumet, ensuring that each medal is not only a symbol of athletic achievement but also a unique artifact.

Tony Estanguet, President of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, highlighted the significance of the design. “This makes each of these objects unique and singular,” he stated, emphasizing the blend of tradition and innovation that the Paris Games aim to represent.

In addition to the medals, OBS also brought an Olympic torch to the studio. The torch relay, a cherished tradition that ignites the spirit of the Games, made its way through the historic Palace of Versailles in Yvelines on Tuesday, symbolizing unity and the approaching global celebration of sport.

As the excitement builds for the 2024 Summer Olympics, this special exhibition at CMG’s Paris studio has brought the world a step closer to the grandeur of the upcoming Games. Athletes and fans alike are eagerly counting down the days until the world gathers in Paris to witness feats of excellence and the sharing of cultures.
