China Media Group (CMG), one of the primary broadcasters for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics, is making significant preparations to deliver first-class reports from Paris.
Dispatching a production and broadcasting team of over 2,000 professionals, CMG has been actively setting up a working area exceeding 1,500 square meters at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in the French capital since mid-June.
Leveraging advanced technology, CMG has established a transcontinental Olympic broadcasting cloud platform based on its media cloud. This platform provides various production tools, including video, audio, picture, and text editing, as well as merging and packaging capabilities.
On July 3, CMG began installing its ultra-high-definition broadcasting system at key locations, including the Eiffel Tower and the IBC. The construction work is expected to be completed by Saturday, ensuring that all systems are ready well ahead of the Games.
During the 2024 Summer Olympics, CMG plans to deploy nearly 40 media convergence groups across different venues. These teams are poised to provide professional and high-quality coverage to audiences through a series of premium programs.
CMG’s commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technology and extensive resources underscores its dedication to bringing the excitement of the Olympics to viewers around the world, offering an immersive and comprehensive experience of the global sporting event.
