11 Chinese Tennis Players Set to Compete in U.S. Open Singles Events

The upcoming U.S. Open, set to begin on August 26 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City, will feature a record number of participants from the Chinese mainland. A total of 11 Chinese tennis players are poised to compete in the singles events, marking a significant milestone for Chinese tennis on the international stage.

Men’s Singles Competitors:

Zhang Zhizhen and Shang Juncheng will represent the Chinese mainland in the men’s singles competition. Zhang has showcased impressive form this year, advancing beyond the first round in each of the first three Grand Slam tournaments. Notably, he reached the third round at both the French Open and the U.S. Open in 2023.
