CMG’s 8K Live Broadcast Vans Arrive in Paris for Olympic Coverage

In a significant step toward delivering unparalleled Olympic coverage, a fleet of six 8K ultra-high-definition (UHD) live broadcast vans from China Media Group (CMG) has arrived at the Stade de France in Paris. The vans reached the national stadium on Tuesday to begin preparations with the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) to bring the Games live to audiences around the globe.

Departing from northern Paris in the morning, the CMG fleet took a picturesque journey through the heart of the city. The vans traversed the Avenue de la Grande-Armée, passed under the iconic Arc de Triomphe, cruised along the bustling Avenue des Champs-Élysées, and journeyed past the majestic Eiffel Tower along the left bank of the Seine. This route not only showcased Paris’s historic landmarks but also symbolized the merging of advanced technology with rich cultural heritage.

While some of the vans carried state-of-the-art equipment to CMG’s outdoor broadcast studio near the Eiffel Tower, the live event broadcast vans were officially handed over to OBS at Stade de France. This collaboration signifies a monumental effort to utilize cutting-edge 8K UHD technology in broadcasting, promising viewers an immersive experience of the upcoming Games like never before.

In addition to bolstering the technical capabilities of Olympic broadcasting, CMG’s involvement highlights the growing influence of Asian media organizations in global events. The deployment of 8K UHD technology demonstrates a commitment to delivering high-quality content that meets the rising expectations of international audiences, including those in Asia and beyond.
