In a thrilling display of football, Beijing Guoan clinched a 2-0 victory over Shandong Taishan at home on Sunday in the Chinese Super League (CSL). The win was propelled by early goals from Samuel Adegbenro and Fabio Abreu, who scored within the first five minutes of the match.
“We know Shandong is a very tough team, so we wanted to make a strong start, and we made that happen. We also did a good job defensively to seal the win,” remarked Beijing Guoan head coach Ricardo Soares after the game.
Meanwhile, Chengdu Rongcheng delivered a commanding 4-0 triumph against Cangzhou Mighty Lions. Gan Chao opened the scoring with a long-distance effort in the sixth minute, and Manuel Palacios doubled the lead before halftime. The second half saw Hu Hetao and Romulo José adding two more goals to secure a resounding victory.
Elsewhere in the CSL, Shanghai Shenhua edged past Qingdao West Coast with a 1-0 win, Changchun Yatai overwhelmed Qingdao Hainiu 5-0, and Henan FC defeated Meizhou Hakka 3-0.
