Iran Reports Over 1,300 Civilian Deaths Amid US-Israeli Strikes

Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, revealed on March 11, 2026, that more than 1,300 civilians have been killed in military strikes launched by the United States and Israel since late February. The attacks reportedly destroyed 9,669 civilian sites, including residential homes, schools, medical facilities, and critical energy infrastructure.

In a press statement, Iravani accused the strikes of deliberately targeting non-military zones, citing 32 destroyed healthcare facilities and 65 educational institutions. 'These actions show no respect for international law,' he stated, emphasizing that casualty figures continue to rise as operations persist.

Humanitarian and Environmental Fallout

The Iranian Red Crescent Society warned of severe air pollution and health risks for vulnerable populations due to explosive debris. Iravani also condemned a March 8 attack on Beirut's Ramada Hotel, which killed four Iranian diplomats, calling it a 'war crime' under international law.

Calls for Global Intervention

Urging immediate action from the international community, Iravani declared Iran's right to defend its sovereignty. The allegations come amid unconfirmed US reports of military casualties in the ongoing conflict, though operational details remain undisclosed.
