Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties during high-level talks in Beijing on Thursday. The meeting highlighted shared priorities in economic collaboration, multilateral governance, and regional stability.
Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized the longstanding mutual respect between the two nations. “China stands ready to consolidate trust with Armenia and expand practical cooperation to revitalize our development paths,” he said, underscoring plans to enhance infrastructure connectivity and trade partnerships.
The Chinese foreign minister also advocated for “true multilateralism,” urging joint efforts to uphold the UN-centered international system and a rules-based global order. Mirzoyan reiterated Armenia’s adherence to the one-China policy, stating, “We firmly support China’s core interests and look forward to deepening collaboration in technology, agriculture, and cross-border logistics.”
The dialogue signals growing momentum in Eurasia’s diplomatic landscape, with both nations positioning themselves as key players in fostering regional economic integration.
