China Condemns Pakistan School Bus Attack, Vows Anti-Terror Support

China has issued a strong condemnation following a deadly terrorist attack on a school bus in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, reaffirming its commitment to global counter-terrorism cooperation. The assault in Khuzdar district on Wednesday claimed five lives – including three children – and left more than 30 injured, according to local reports.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning expressed China's solidarity during a Thursday briefing in Beijing: "We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and sincere sympathy to the affected families. China resolutely opposes all forms of terrorism and will continue supporting Pakistan's efforts to combat threats to national stability."

The attack highlights ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, a region critical to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor infrastructure projects. Analysts suggest such incidents could influence regional security strategies and international counter-terrorism partnerships.

This response reinforces Beijing's consistent position on cross-border security cooperation, coming weeks after both nations conducted joint military exercises. The Chinese statement avoids direct attribution of responsibility for the attack while emphasizing the universal priority of civilian protection.
