Pakistan Warns of Imminent Indian Military Strike in 24-36 Hours

Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, issued an urgent warning on Wednesday, claiming India could launch a military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours. The alert came after Pakistani authorities reportedly received “credible intelligence” indicating New Delhi’s preparations for action linked to recent tensions in the disputed Kashmir region.

In a video statement, Tarar accused India of advancing “baseless and concocted allegations” regarding a deadly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, located in Indian-controlled Kashmir earlier this month. At least 25 people were killed in the incident, according to Indian media. While India has blamed Pakistan for involvement, Islamabad has denied all accusations.

Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to defend its sovereignty, stating any aggression would trigger a “decisive response.” He criticized New Delhi’s “hubristic role of judge, jury, and executioner” in the region and urged the international community to prevent escalation.

Pakistan proposed an independent investigation by a neutral commission to address the Pahalgam incident, but Tarar claimed India dismissed the offer in favor of “irrationality and confrontation.”

This latest development intensifies long-standing tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors, raising global concerns over regional stability. Analysts warn that military action could destabilize South Asia amid ongoing territorial disputes over Kashmir since 1947.
