China-Malaysia Cultural Ties Strengthen with High-Profile Exchange Event

China and Malaysia hosted a landmark cultural exchange event in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, coinciding with Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit. Organized by China Media Group (CMG), the gathering brought together over 200 dignitaries, business leaders, and cultural figures to bolster bilateral cooperation and people-to-people connections.

Building Bridges Through Media Collaboration

Shen Haixiong, president of CMG and vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, emphasized the historic friendship between the two nations during his keynote address. He highlighted joint media projects like 'Our Story' and 'Global Watch' that showcase shared developmental achievements and collaborative spirit.

"CMG remains committed to working with Malaysian partners to advance cultural understanding and contribute to a closer China-Malaysia community with a shared future," Shen stated.

Government Support for Bilateral Vision

Malaysian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation Chang Lih Kang praised the initiative, noting the event's alignment with leadership priorities. "Under the strategic guidance of our leaders, Malaysia and China will continue deepening win-win cooperation across sectors," he said.

New Partnerships Launched

The event saw the signing of multiple agreements between CMG and Malaysian partners, covering academic exchanges, media content production, and joint research programs. New initiatives to highlight cultural narratives and economic synergies were also unveiled, reinforcing cross-border connectivity.
