Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a congratulatory message to Alexander Lukashenko on his reelection as the president of Belarus.
In his message, Xi highlighted the close contact he has maintained with Lukashenko in recent years. Together, they have charted the course for and led the development of China-Belarus relations, elevating bilateral ties to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership at an all-time high.
Xi noted that political mutual trust between China and Belarus has been continuously consolidated, and that Belt and Road cooperation has yielded fruitful results with effective multilateral coordination.
Emphasizing the importance he places on the development of China-Belarus relations, Xi expressed his willingness to work closely with Lukashenko to continue the traditional friendship between the two countries.
