Xi Jinping Pledges Greater National Achievements and Contributions to World Peace

At a grand reception in Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, President Xi Jinping pledged on Monday that the Chinese people will achieve more remarkable accomplishments and make greater contributions to the noble cause of peace and development of humanity.

The event marked the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), which officially commemorates its National Day on October 1.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, addressed an audience of around 3,000 Chinese and foreign guests. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who have supported China’s development and extended sincere greetings to compatriots in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, the Taiwan region, and overseas Chinese communities.

In his speech, Xi paid tribute to the people of all ethnic groups in China, the officers and soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army and the People’s Armed Police Force, and other political parties and individuals without party affiliation. He emphasized that the central task of the CPC and the country is to build China into a strong nation and achieve national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.

“Advancing this unprecedented great cause steadily is the best way to celebrate the anniversary of the PRC,” Xi stressed, calling for unity and perseverance in pursuing the nation’s goals.

Premier Li Qiang presided over the reception, with other Party and state leaders, including Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng, in attendance. The event showcased China’s commitment to its future development and its role in fostering global peace and prosperity.
