At the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum on Friday, Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun urged nations around the world to unite in promoting peace and stability amidst a rapidly changing global landscape.
In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, Dong called on members of the international community to foster mutual respect and sincerity, and to seek common ground while setting aside differences.
He emphasized the importance of openness and inclusivity, encouraging countries to engage in win-win cooperation that benefits all parties and to work collectively towards lasting peaceful coexistence.
Dong also advocated for joint efforts to promote a multipolar world characterized by equality and order.
He highlighted China’s commitment to the Global Security Initiative, stating that the Chinese armed forces are ready to build new models of security partnerships with militaries around the globe.
The Beijing Xiangshan Forum, themed “Promoting Peace for a Shared Future,” attracted over 1,800 guests from more than 100 countries and international organizations, reflecting a broad interest in collaborative approaches to global security.
