President Kiir is in Beijing for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and the leaders’ discussions signal a deepening of ties between China and South Sudan. President Xi emphasized that strengthening China-South Sudan relations aligns with the shared aspirations and long-term interests of both peoples.
