Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced on Thursday that China is prepared to collaborate with Belarus to advance the high-level development of their all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. The statement was made during his meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at the Palace of Independence in Minsk.
Premier Li emphasized the enduring strength of China-Belarus relations over the past 32 years since establishing diplomatic ties. “Despite changes in the international landscape, our relationship has remained vigorous and vital,” he remarked. Li highlighted the mutual benefits and fruitful cooperation that have delivered tangible advantages to the peoples of both nations.
“China is willing to further strengthen multilateral cooperation with Belarus,” Li stated. He underscored the importance of promoting a more just and reasonable global governance system and safeguarding the common interests of developing countries.
President Lukashenko praised the robust momentum of growth in the Belarus-China relationship, noting that it stands at the highest level in history. “Our countries have always firmly supported each other on major issues related to our core interests,” he said.
Lukashenko expressed Belarus’s readiness to work closely with China to enhance high-level exchanges and deepen practical cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade, agriculture, science, and technology. He also affirmed Belarus’s commitment to participating in global initiatives proposed by China to further develop the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership.
