Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence has been published as a booklet. The speech, titled “Carrying Forward the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind,” was delivered in Beijing on June 28.
In his address, Xi highlighted the enduring significance of the Five Principles, which have guided China’s foreign policy and international relations since their inception. He emphasized the importance of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, non-interference in internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence among nations.
The publication of the speech aims to promote a deeper understanding of these principles and encourage dialogue on building a more harmonious international community. The booklet is available nationwide at Xinhua Bookstore outlets, courtesy of the People’s Publishing House.
The Five Principles were first established in 1954 and have since played a crucial role in fostering diplomatic relations between China and other countries. As global challenges such as conflict, inequality, and environmental issues continue to arise, Xi’s speech calls for renewed commitment to these foundational ideals to achieve lasting peace and cooperation.
This release is expected to engage scholars, policymakers, and global readers interested in China’s perspective on international relations and its vision for the future.
