Xi Jinping Highlights Ethnic Unity During Ningxia Visit

Yinchuan, China — Chinese President Xi Jinping, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, underscored the importance of ethnic unity during his recent visit to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China.

On Wednesday, President Xi visited a multiethnic residential community in Yinchuan, the capital city of Ningxia. Observing the harmonious living conditions of the residents, he expressed his pleasure at seeing different ethnic groups living together in happiness and solidarity.

"Ethnic unity is very important," Xi remarked. "The 56 ethnic groups unite together to forge the community of the Chinese nation. The Chinese nation is a big family."

During his visit, Xi called for concerted efforts to advance Chinese modernization and achieve national rejuvenation. He emphasized that unity among all ethnic groups is essential in realizing these national goals.

At a community service center in Jinfeng District, President Xi learned about the services provided to facilitate daily life and promote cultural activities among residents. Engaging with community workers and residents, he highlighted the crucial role that communities play in serving the people.

Xi stressed the need to strengthen primary-level Party organizations and maintain a dedicated team of compassionate community workers. He encouraged communities to continue gathering experience and exploring new methods to offer better services to residents.
