Polish President Andrzej Duda is set to embark on a state visit to the Chinese mainland from June 22 to 26 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. This significant trip marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and China, highlighting the enduring partnership between the two nations.
During the visit, Presidents Duda and Xi will engage in talks to outline a blueprint for the future development of China-Poland relations. They are expected to hold in-depth discussions on issues of mutual interest and attend a signing ceremony for cooperation documents, signaling a commitment to expand bilateral collaboration.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, chairman of China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee, will also meet with President Duda separately, further emphasizing the importance of this diplomatic engagement.
Over the past decades, Poland and China have witnessed smooth development in their bilateral relations, with fruitful cooperation across various sectors. This visit aims to deepen political mutual trust and broaden exchanges in fields such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated, “China is ready to work with Poland to take President Duda’s visit as an opportunity to enrich the China-Poland comprehensive strategic partnership.” He emphasized the shared goal of advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and strengthening ties within the framework of China-Central and Eastern European cooperation.
