China’s top political advisor, Wang Huning, met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil Pinto in Beijing on Friday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The meeting aimed to strengthen the all-weather strategic partnership announced last year by the two nations’ leaders.
Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), emphasized the importance of translating the consensus reached by the heads of state into practical actions. “China is willing to work with Venezuela to promote our friendship and jointly create a better future for the next 50 years,” Wang stated.
He also highlighted the CPPCC National Committee’s commitment to fostering a favorable environment and gathering positive energy for China-Venezuela cooperation.
Yvan Gil Pinto expressed that under the guidance of the two heads of state, Venezuela-China relations have entered the best period in their history. He affirmed Venezuela’s full support for the global initiatives proposed by China and reiterated Venezuela’s adherence to the one-China principle. “We will continue to be China’s most reliable friend and work together to promote our all-weather strategic partnership,” Gil Pinto said.
The meeting signifies a continued effort by both nations to deepen their bilateral ties and collaborate on international initiatives.
