In a recent diplomatic meeting in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed that China and Arab countries share a common stance on the Palestinian issue. Wang emphasized China’s commitment to solidarity and cooperation with Arab nations, highlighting a united front in pursuing historical correctness, fairness, justice, and international humanitarianism.
Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made these remarks during his meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The Saudi minister visited Beijing to attend the 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum.
The two leaders discussed various regional and international issues, reaffirming their mutual support and cooperation. On the Palestinian issue, they underscored the importance of standing together to advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people and to promote a fair and lasting solution.
In addition to Middle East affairs, Wang Yi and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud exchanged views on the crisis in Ukraine. They agreed that any peace conference regarding Ukraine should adhere to principles of acceptance by all concerned parties, ensure equal participation, and facilitate fair discussions of all options.
Wang Yi stated that China will continue to promote peace talks and play a constructive role in seeking a political resolution to the crisis in Ukraine. He reaffirmed China’s dedication to fostering international stability and cooperation.
