Chinese Vice President Meets Arab League Chief to Enhance Cooperation

Beijing, China—In a move to strengthen Sino-Arab relations, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, on Wednesday in Beijing. The meeting marks a significant step in deepening cooperation between China and the Arab world.

Han Zheng highlighted the long-standing friendship between China and Arab countries, emphasizing that this year commemorates the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. \”China is ready to work with Arab countries to implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two sides and the outcomes of the first China-Arab Summit,\” Han stated. \”We aim to firmly support each other, advance high-level practical cooperation, strengthen international coordination, promote sustained development of China-Arab relations, and bring more benefits to our peoples.\”

Aboul-Gheit expressed the Arab League’s appreciation for China’s enduring support. \”The Arab side highly appreciates China’s long-term support of Arab countries,\” he said. \”We firmly abide by the one-China principle and are willing to take the 10th ministerial meeting of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum as an opportunity to elevate Arab-China relations to a new level.\”

The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in various fields, including economic development, cultural exchange, and international affairs. Both leaders affirmed their commitment to deepening mutual understanding and working together on global challenges.
