In a warm and friendly meeting on Tuesday, Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, shared tea and conversation with Equatorial Guinean First Lady Constancia Mangue de Obiang in Beijing.
First Lady Constancia is accompanying her husband, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, on a state visit to China, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
During their meeting, Peng expressed China’s commitment to fostering deeper ties with Equatorial Guinea, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts to safeguard and promote women’s rights and interests. She highlighted the mutual benefits of enhancing education and public health initiatives, which would serve the well-being of both peoples.
Constancia praised China’s longstanding support, particularly Peng’s dedicated advocacy for women and children in African countries, including Equatorial Guinea.
