The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, set to open on May 30 in Beijing.

Marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Sudan, Wang Yi emphasized China’s commitment to fostering friendly relations with Sudan. He reaffirmed China’s support for Sudan in safeguarding its national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, as well as achieving domestic peace and stability.

“China stands with Sudan as it explores a development path suited to its own national conditions,” Wang Yi stated. He also pledged that China would continue to urge the international community to provide favorable external conditions for the resolution of issues facing Sudan.

Highlighting the importance of collaborative forums, Wang Yi appreciated Sudan’s active participation in the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum. He expressed China’s willingness to work closely with African countries, including Sudan, to successfully host this year’s Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). “Together, we can contribute to building a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future,” he added.
