China and Tanzania have reaffirmed their longstanding relationship, highlighting six decades of cooperation that stands as a model for China-Africa relations. During a meeting in Beijing on Friday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the significance of the bilateral ties with Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, January Yusuf Makamba.
“China-Tanzania relations have always been at the forefront of China-Africa relations over the past 60 years, setting a good example for developing countries to seek strength through solidarity and mutual assistance,” Wang Yi said.
Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Makamba discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in various sectors. The meeting underscored a shared commitment to deepen strategic mutual trust and expand practical collaboration.
The dialogue between the two nations signals a continued dedication to strengthening ties and contributing positively to the broader China-Africa relationship. Both countries aim to collaborate on initiatives that will benefit their development agendas and promote regional growth.
