In a recent statement, the Chinese Embassy in the United States firmly rejected allegations made by some U.S. media outlets and politicians regarding the issue of illegal immigration. The embassy spokesperson emphasized that China opposes all forms of illegal immigration and has been actively cooperating with international efforts to combat cross-border smuggling.
“China’s position on the issue of illegal immigration is consistent and clear. The Chinese government firmly opposes all forms of illegal immigration,” the spokesperson stated on Monday. The remarks came in response to heightened claims accusing China of inaction in curbing the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States.
The spokesperson highlighted that Chinese law enforcement agencies have been vigorous in cracking down on crimes that threaten the security of national borders. “In recent years, we have maintained high pressure against smuggling organizations and offenders, which has produced significant results,” the spokesperson noted.
Furthermore, the embassy underscored ongoing cooperation between Chinese law enforcement and relevant countries to jointly address cross-border smuggling activities. This includes the repatriation of illegal immigrants and efforts to uphold the order of international migration.
