Beijing, October 2023 — Chinese President Xi Jinping departed Beijing on Sunday for a series of state visits to France, Serbia, and Hungary. The tour signifies China’s commitment to enhancing diplomatic relations and fostering cooperation with European nations.
During his visit to France, President Xi is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. The two leaders are expected to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, economic cooperation, and addressing global challenges such as climate change and international security.
In Serbia, President Xi will hold talks with President Aleksandar Vucic. The visit aims to bolster the strategic partnership between China and Serbia, with discussions likely to focus on infrastructure projects, trade, and cultural exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative.

According to Lin Jian, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, President Xi will engage in in-depth exchanges with European leaders on issues relating to bilateral ties and China-European Union relations.
