Chinese President Xi Jinping recently embarked on his first domestic inspection of 2025, visiting Liaoning Province in northeast China. Tailored to each family's needs, the new housing was completed in less than two months, allowing nearly 200 disaster-stricken residents to settle into warm homes before the onset of winter.
During his visit, Xi inspected the progress of post-disaster restoration, entering the homes of relocated villagers and inquiring about the quality of the new houses and their daily living conditions. His genuine concern highlighted the \"people-first\" philosophy that has been a hallmark of his leadership.

On January 23, Xi visited the Chang'an community in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, to observe how public services are being optimized to enhance residents' quality of life. Since 2023, the community has been renovating old residential areas, upgrading all 13 residential buildings and public spaces. Initiatives promoting quality employment, education, health services, and elderly care have been launched to support the residents, fostering a stronger, more vibrant community.
Xi also toured a cold rolling mill of the Bensteel Group in Benxi to gain insights into the company's efforts to accelerate transformation, upgrade its operations, and promote high-quality development. His visit underscored the importance of industrial advancement in driving economic growth and improving living standards.
