Over the past three decades, China has become the largest trading partner for all five Central Asian countries. Trade and mutual investment have surged, increasing by over a hundred times, highlighting the robust economic relationships that have developed. As President Xi meets with Central Asian leaders, the focus is on enhancing relations, expanding trade, and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
The questions on everyone’s minds are: What will be the key topics during President Xi’s visit? How will China and Central Asian countries continue to bolster their partnerships in trade and beyond? And what collaborative measures can be taken to contribute jointly to global governance and world peace?
In a recent edition of “Dialogue,” experts delved into these questions. Assel Tutumlu, an associate professor in Political Science at Near East University; Wang Jin, an associate professor at Northwest University of China; and Alouddin Komilov, a research fellow at the Center for Progressive Reforms in Uzbekistan, shared their insights on the future of China-Central Asia relations.
