China and Arab states have pledged to strengthen cooperation and build a shared future, as Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 10th ministerial conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in Beijing on May 30.
This conference marks the first ministerial meeting following the inaugural China-Arab States Summit and coincides with the 20th anniversary of the CASCF’s founding. Over the past two decades, China and Arab countries have deepened strategic mutual trust, expanded practical cooperation, and enriched cultural exchanges, establishing a comprehensive and multi-level partnership.
President Xi highlighted the significant progress made in China-Arab relations, emphasizing the establishment of 19 cooperation mechanisms across various fields and the issuance of 85 outcome documents under the forum’s framework. He expressed China’s commitment to working with Arab nations on an equal and mutually beneficial basis to build a model of high-quality cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
“Positive progress has been made in constructing a China-Arab community with a shared future,” President Xi stated, noting that strategic mutual trust between the two sides has been further deepened. He called for continued concerted efforts to implement the outcomes of the China-Arab States Summit and accelerate the building of stronger ties.
