At the 30th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on November 17, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a pivotal speech titled “Staying True to APEC’s Founding Mission and Enhancing Unity and Cooperation to Jointly Promote High-Quality Growth in the Asia-Pacific.” Addressing the pressing questions of the region’s future by mid-century, President Xi laid out a visionary roadmap for ushering in another “golden 30 years” for the Asia-Pacific.

He emphasized the significance of unity and cooperation among APEC members to foster high-quality growth. “We must stay committed to the APEC founding mission,” President Xi stated, “and work hand in hand to build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.”

Highlighting the role of Chinese modernization, he underscored how it contributes to the stability and development of the region. President Xi asserted that China’s path toward modernization not only benefits its own people but also offers new opportunities for regional cooperation and global prosperity.
