A rain-triggered landslide swept through Yuelin Village in Hengyang, central China’s Hunan Province, early Sunday morning, leaving 15 people dead and six injured.
The disaster occurred around 8 a.m. when heavy rainfall caused a section of the hillside to give way, washing away a village house and resulting in significant casualties, according to the latest update from the provincial emergency command center.
