The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Thursday that it is closely monitoring the rainfall and potential flood risks as vigorous monsoon activity is predicted across the country in the coming days.
According to PMD Director General Mahr Sahibzad Khan, the department is promptly assessing the weather situation through its network of over 100 observatories nationwide. “We are committed to keeping all stakeholders informed of any unusual weather patterns and the need to take precautions,” Khan told the media.
The PMD’s vigilant monitoring aims to ensure that communities and authorities are well-prepared for the anticipated monsoon activity.
