NASA and SpaceX are targeting this Saturday for the launch of the eighth crew mission to the International Space Station (ISS), marking a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two organizations.
The mission, codenamed “Crew-8,” represents the eighth rotational mission to the ISS under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will carry the crew aboard a Dragon spacecraft, lifting off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 11:16 p.m. Eastern Time.
Crew-8 will transport NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt, and Jeanette Epps, along with Alexander Grebenkin of Roscosmos, to the space station. This international team will continue scientific research and maintenance aboard the ISS, contributing to the advancement of space exploration.
