2026 China Sci-Fi Convention Unveils Future Tech in Beijing

The 2026 China Science Fiction Convention is currently transforming Beijing's Shougang Park into a hub of technological wonder, running through March 29. This year's event marks a significant leap in showcasing China's innovation capabilities through its Future Digital Quarter, where visitors interact with humanoid robots and test brain-computer interface prototypes.

CMG reporter Wu Qiong reported live from the Beijing International Science Fiction and Future Industries Expo, where embodied intelligence systems demonstrate unprecedented human-machine collaboration. "What we're seeing here isn't just fiction – it's tomorrow's industry standards taking shape," Wu observed during her tour of holographic displays.

The convention serves dual purposes as both a cultural festival and business platform, with 47 countries and regions participating in the Science Fiction Carnival. Overseas investors have shown particular interest in AI-driven manufacturing solutions displayed at the expo.

Evening events feature augmented reality performances blending traditional Chinese opera with speculative fiction narratives, drawing attention from global streaming platforms. Academic forums running parallel to the exhibitions are fostering international partnerships in quantum computing applications for creative industries.
