Education Reforms Take Center Stage

Education Minister Huai Jinpeng announced a new initiative to expand vocational training programs, stating: “By 2026's end, we aim to upskill 5 million workers through our modern apprenticeship system.” The plan targets emerging industries like renewable energy and AI manufacturing.

Healthcare Expansion Plans

National Health Commission Minister Lei Haichao revealed that 85% of county-level hospitals will receive upgraded medical equipment this year. “Our rural health initiative prioritizes early cancer screening and chronic disease management,” Lei told reporters.

Cultural Tourism Boost

Culture and Tourism Minister Sun Yeli announced the launch of 22 new “Red Tourism” routes commemorating historical revolutionary sites. The program aims to attract 100 million domestic travelers while preserving cultural heritage.

Social Security Upgrades

Human Resources Minister Wang Xiaoping detailed plans to expand unemployment insurance coverage to 95% of urban workers by Q4 2026. Civil Affairs Minister Lu Zhiyuan concurrently addressed elderly care improvements, pledging 120,000 new community nursing beds nationwide.

The three-hour session concluded with ministers emphasizing coordinated implementation of these measures, particularly in China's central and western regions.
