China Showcases Tech & Culture at Osaka Expo Pavilion Day

OSAKA – The China National Pavilion captivated global audiences on July 11 during its dedicated showcase day at the World Expo in Osaka, coinciding with the 90th day since its grand opening. The pavilion's fusion of ancient wisdom and cutting-edge innovation offers a microcosm of China's cultural and technological ambitions.

Visitors explored the "24 Solar Terms" installation, where projected landscapes shift in real-time to reflect traditional agricultural calendars. The AI-powered "Wukong" robot – named after the mythical Monkey King – engaged guests through multilingual conversations about Chinese philosophy.

Among the most sought-after exhibits were lunar soil samples from China's Chang'e-5 mission and a scale model of the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible, illustrating the nation's expanding frontiers in space and ocean exploration. Pavilion staff reported over 2.3 million visitors since opening day, with many praising the "seamless blend of heritage and futurism."

"This isn't just about displaying achievements," explained Cultural Director Li Wei. "It's about creating dialogue through shared human experiences – whether through thousand-year-old farming traditions or tomorrow's climate solutions."
