Global Media Explores Shandong’s Cultural Legacy & Innovation

A delegation of over 50 international journalists recently embarked on a journey through China's Shandong province, uncovering layers of its 2,500-year cultural heritage and modern innovation. The immersive tour, organized by China Media Group, highlighted key destinations including Jining—the birthplace of Confucius—Qingdao's maritime dynamism, and Yantai's coastal tech hubs.

Participants traversed historic landmarks and innovation centers, witnessing firsthand Shandong's blend of tradition and progress. The initiative, part of the 'China Up Close – Shandong Tour,' aimed to showcase the province's development achievements to global audiences.

In Yantai, CGTN reporter Liu Jiaxin led a dialogue with journalists from Slovenia, Slovakia, Cambodia, and South Africa. Discussions centered on fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration, reflecting Shandong's role as a bridge for international exchanges.

The tour emphasized how Shandong’s cultural roots, from Confucian philosophy to maritime history, intertwine with cutting-edge advancements in sectors like green energy and smart manufacturing.
