Firefighters Prepare Heartwarming Lunch for Quake-Hit Villagers in Xizang

More than a week has passed since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake shook Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. Amid ongoing resettlement and reconstruction efforts, a beacon of hope shines in Cuo'ang Village, Quluo Town.

Firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit have taken on more than just their official duties. Today, they are in the village not to battle flames, but to warm hearts by preparing lunch for the quake-affected residents.

Our reporter, Zhao Chenchen, joined the frontline heroes as they donned aprons instead of helmets. The atmosphere in Cuo'ang Village was filled with the comforting aromas of traditional dishes, bringing a sense of normalcy to the villagers amidst the recovery efforts.

Villagers gathered around, sharing stories of resilience and gratitude. "Their support means the world to us," one resident shared. "In these trying times, it's the small acts of kindness that make a big difference."

The firefighters' gesture extends beyond a meal; it symbolizes solidarity and the unbreakable spirit of the community. As reconstruction continues, such moments bolster the morale of those affected, reminding everyone that they are not alone on the road to recovery.
