It's been more than a week since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. As resettlement and reconstruction efforts continue, stories of compassion and solidarity are emerging from the heart of the affected communities.
In the mountainous Cuo'ang Village of Quluo Town, Dingri County, the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit is hard at work—not just battling the aftermath of the quake, but also taking care of the villagers' most basic needs. The firefighters have taken it upon themselves to prepare lunch for the displaced residents, ensuring they receive warm meals during these challenging times.
