Firefighters Cook Lunch for Earthquake-Affected Villagers in Xizang

It's been more than a week since a magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on January 7. Amidst the ongoing resettlement and reconstruction efforts, firefighters from the Xizang Forest Firefighting Special Operations Unit have been providing not only rescue services but also much-needed comfort to the affected villagers.

In Cuo'ang Village, Quluo Town, Dingri County, these brave firefighters have taken on the role of cooks, preparing lunch for the villagers who have been displaced by the disaster. The sight of uniformed firefighters stirring pots and serving meals has brought smiles to many faces, offering a moment of warmth and normalcy during a challenging time.

\"The villagers have been through a lot,\" said one of the firefighters. \"We hope that by sharing a meal together, we can lift their spirits and show them that they are not alone.\"

The communal meals have become a symbol of solidarity and resilience in the face of adversity. As rebuilding efforts continue, the bonds formed between the firefighters and the villagers strengthen the community's resolve to overcome the aftermath of the earthquake.
