Middle East Conflict Intensifies: Israeli Strikes in Lebanon, Defense Minister Replaced

The Middle East conflict continues to escalate amid international calls for de-escalation. Over the past 50 days, more than 216 Syrian refugees in Lebanon have been killed due to Israel’s ongoing strikes, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Tuesday.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported on Monday that the 13-month war has resulted in at least 3,000 deaths in Lebanon. The intensified military actions have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region, raising concerns among global observers.

In a significant political move, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday. Netanyahu appointed Israel Katz as the new Defense Minister to lead the military operations. The dismissal of Gallant has sparked widespread protests across Israel, with citizens expressing their discontent over the government’s handling of the conflict.

As tensions continue to rise, the international community watches closely, urging all parties to pursue peaceful resolutions and prevent further loss of life.
